The report — the first of its kind from the WHO — is intended as a roadmap for building responsive and inclusive health systems for displaced people.

More people are on the move than ever before. It is estimated that, globally, one billion people (one person in eight) are migrants, refugees or internally displaced, and this number is increasing. But the health of these groups and health systems’ responsiveness to their needs are under-researched, which jeopardizes the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
