Campaign launched to mark Heart Valve Awareness Week
This week, heart and stroke charity, Croí, will be hosting free stethoscope checks in Mayo, Galway and Limerick to mark Heart Valve Disease Awareness Week.
A stethoscope check is a key detector of Heart Valve disease, but less than one-third of Irish patients report receiving regular checks.

Many of those suffering from Heart Valve disease may not even be aware of it, but early intervention can save your life.
If you’re over 65, ask for a stethoscope check the next time you visit your GP.
