We have amended this news article by Janice Hopkins Tanne (BMJ 2023;382:p1878; doi:10.1136/bmj.p1878), published on 14 August 2023, to correct the date of the cited report to October 2022.Initially when we published this story we believed the report to be new, but we had published a similar story about the same report on 17 October 2022 (BMJ 2022;379:o2487; doi:10.1136/bmj.o2487). The two BMJ articles contain some duplicated details but also some distinct findings and comments.
