Sudan: WHO calls for protection of health workers and patients amid increased violence


The World Health Organization has urged all parties to the current conflict in Sudan to ensure unrestricted access to health facilities for people injured by the recent escalation in hostilities.

The United Nations has reported that more than 185 people have died and more than 1800 have been injured since fighting between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces flared up last week in Khartoum, South Kordofan, North Darfur, Northern State, and other regions.
